Top Tips for Cooking Steak
Bring the meat to room temperature
Make sure the pan, griddle or BBQ is super hot
Lightly oil both sides of the steak
Rub in a small quantity of sea salt and cracked black pepper
Turn the steak every minute
Use a meat thermometer probe to take the guess work out of cooking – insert the thermometer from the side until it reaches approximately the centre
Rest the steak for as long as you have cooked it for. Cover with foil if on a cold plate
The steak will continue to cook in the residual heat even after the heat source is removed. A steak could increase 3-5 degrees after cooking
We have probes in stock if you wish to purchase one
